Located in the centre of England    HOW TO GET HERE


ROAD 

Road Map The recommended approaches are shown on the map (Most maps use the spelling Youlgreave)                                     

From the south the best route is the A50 at J23A on M1 via Ashbourne or A446/A38 from the M42/M40 again via Ashbourne.

From north the A617/A619 from M1 at J29 via Chesterfield. From north-west avoid the Stockport bit of A6 and drive through Macclesfield to Buxton.



RAIL 

Chesterfield is the best rail connection with frequent trains to all parts. Buses run to Bakewell from the town.

Matlock is at the end of a Branch line from Derby with buses connecting to Bakewell.

 Taxi to Youlgrave is an alternative or by prior arrangement if you let us know you are coming on public transport we may be able to pick you up from Bakewell or Matlock.

COACH - Coaches from Manchester, Nottingham and London Victoria all come to Bakewell.

BUS - Local buses from Bakewell approx every hour stop outside the cottage (Not Sunday).
